If I Were a Book,: Writing My Own Story

I was sitting in the living room one evening, just flipping through my favorite novel when a strange thought popped into my 10 year old daughter Myrah's head. She looked  at  me, and asked, “Mom, what if I were a book instead of a person?”

At first, i raised an eyebrow, and then smiled. “A book? That’s an interesting thought. What kind of book would you be?"

“I think I’d be an adventure book,” she said confidently. “I’d have exciting chapters, with lots of twists and turns, and people would be hooked on my story. They’d stay up all night just to find out what happens next!”

I laughed. “I can see that. You’ve always loved a good adventure. But being a book would mean you wouldn’t get to go outside and play or try new things yourself. You’d be stuck on a shelf, waiting for someone to pick you up."

”I hadn’t thought about that. “Hmm… but if I were a really good book, people would read me over and over again! I’d never be lonely because I’d always have readers who cared about my story.”

I nodded, “That’s true. A great book stays with people for a long time. But you know, being a human means you get to write your own story, day by day. You can make new memories, change things up, and decide what happens next. If you were a book, your story would already be written.”

She paused to think. “So, being a human is like being the author of my own book?”

“Exactly!” i replied. “Every day, you add a new chapter. Some days might be boring, like when nothing exciting happens, but others could be full of fun, learning, and surprises. You get to decide what kind of character you are, who your friends are, and what your adventures will be.”

She grinned. “I guess I’d rather be the author than the book. That way, I can make sure my story has lots of adventures, and if something doesn’t go well, I can change it in the next chapter.”

I also smiled back. “That’s the spirit. Your life is like a blank book, and you’re in charge of writing the best story you can.”I liked that idea a lot. It made me realize that even on days when nothing much happens, I’m still writing my story, and I can make tomorrow as exciting as I want it to be. After all, it’s my book.

So What's your child idea about being a book?? And which type of book he or she would like to become. Do share in comment box.
