"What If World Wars Never Happened? Myrah and Ali imagined unimagineable

 


Myrah was jumping with excitement.Her favourite cousin brother, Ali bhai, was coming to visit! She loved talking to him—especially about the big questions that popped into her curious little mind.


As soon as Ali arrived, Myrah ran to him and said,

Myrah: Ali bhai, I was reading about World War I and II in my history book, and I wondered... what if those wars had never happened? What would the world look like today?


Ali: That’s a really interesting question, Myrah. A lot would be different! World wars changed the way countries behaved, how borders were drawn, and even how people lived.

Myrah: So... no wars means no destruction, right?

Ali: Exactly. Millions of people died during the wars. If they hadn’t happened, those people might have lived to invent things, write books, create art, or help their communities. Imagine how much talent the world lost!


Myrah: Wow… So maybe there would have been more scientists and artists?

Ali: Absolutely. And maybe more schools, hospitals, and peace treaties instead of weapons and bombs.


Myrah: Would countries still be enemies today?

Ali: Probably not in the same way. A lot of current political issues started because of the wars. If those had never happened, many countries might be better friends or at least more neutral with each other.


Myrah: Would people have invented planes and rockets so fast without wars?


Ali: Good thinking! Some technologies, like radar, jet engines, and even the early internet, developed because of war needs. But humans are naturally curious so those inventions might have still come, just a bit later, and for peaceful reasons.


Myrah: That sounds better! I hate war. It ruins everything.


Ali: Me too. Without the wars, the world might have grown slower in some areas, like tech or science, but it could have been more equal, more kind, and less fearful.

Myrah: Maybe we’d have more forests too! Fewer bombs, more trees!


Ali: Exactly, little eco-warrior! Fewer wars could’ve meant less damage to nature and more global cooperation on climate, education, and health.

Myrah: So… if there were no world wars, the world would be more peaceful, creative, and kind?

Ali: That’s a good summary. It's impossible to know for sure, but dreaming of a peaceful world helps us make better choices today.


Myrah: Then I’ll dream big and spread peace!

Ali: And I’ll support your dream, Myrah. The world needs more peaceful minds like yours.
